I don't usually participate in the Skywatch thing...but Michael sent me this photo that he took this past Sunday at Mt Rainer. It deserved a posting I thought...

Hot, hot, hot!!!

I am about done with this heat wave...100+ weather is not heard of in the Northwest...most of us don't have air conditioning, so it makes it even worse! My house hasn't gone below 80 for the last two nights and tomorrow again we are expecting 100 degree weather. Our outside temp at my parents today was at a high of 104! Dogs are all on fans and seem to be fine...Mom's rabbits are another story though...try keeping a whole rabbitry cool!!! A little difficult! So...bring on the weather Gods...go away HOT weather...come back NORTHWEST typical weather...repeat again and again...

Evan's Pony Camp Week!

Click here to view these pictures larger

Evan spent this past week at Pony Camp. He loves it and says he wants to ride a lot more. Today was the day where they showed off what they had learned. Aunt Jenny took some great pictures including the one above and also took a video, which you can view at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hXG9Nc7u76U

Portland KC show

Unfortunately not much to report from here...Jazz was the big star this weekend!

Tervs
Jazz won WD on Sat for 2 pts! Sun was RWD

Cardigans
Diesel was RWD on Sun, darn it anyways...we are still stuck on the dreaded last point.
Secret was NAKED, so she stayed home this weekend!!

BC's
Page was RWD both Sat and Sun
BOB both days was an almost full brother to Splash.

Papillons
Walker was RWD on Sat!

Chessies
Lindsay was RWB on Sat, Java was RWB on Sun

Yup a LOT of Reserves for us this weekend.

Congrats to Leann though for finishing her Parson, Sara, Jenny showed her to 6 of her Championship points, so Jenny was really excited to see her finish!

Next show is Enumclaw...amazingly enough we have three weekends off of dog shows, doesn't mean we aren't busy though!!

Puppies coming...

I wish it were Cardigan puppies...but not this summer...maybe this fall. I do have a litter of Papillons coming though! I finally got brave enough to breed my girl that lives at my house. Her name is Heather and she is a pretty sable that we got when she was 2 years old and pretty much unsocialized. She did make an appearance in the show ring a couple of times, but just wasn't a showing fool you need in the Pap ring these days to be able to finish. She structurally is gorgeous though and I really love her sweet disposition, plus her pedigree holds some dogs that I had the pleasure of showing and working with when I was younger. She is pictured above not totally groomed for the show ring, but at least you can see her angles and at the top her face. Anyways, she was bred to a male that my Mom owns named George, CH Del Amo Gorgeous George. This will be George's last litter, as he is getting up their in age. George has produced many Champions, has produced a few phalenes (which I am hoping I might have a chance at in this litter as Heather carries the gene as well!), and has produced real sound, good tempered puppies. Anyways...Mom will most likely have the litter at her house, but I might get brave enough to bring them home for a little while. Pap puppies are much more fragile then people might think! They are due of course right around Enumclaw weekend, mid August. Well...now that I have written a book...I better run to school!

Sand corgi...Geordie at the beach

Geordie grew up at my house, he is formally Aberdovey Tell A Tale. Unfortunately, due to hips not passing, he went to a new home. He is well loved and missed here at Pawcific, but he has the best home in the world! Here are some pics from his trip to the beach...
I think this is worth a photo contest win! I laughed so hard when Britt sent me this picture!

Thank you Geordie's owner, Britt for allowing me to post these on the blog!

Weekend news

I had the pleasure of judging 4-H on Saturday in Ellensburg this weekend. Since we were already half way their, we decided to go to Idaho on Sunday in hopes of picking up a major on a couple of our own dogs. Well...sadly no major in Papillons, so Huck stayed home. Diesel went though and won BOW for his second major! He is now only 1 point from finishing. That dreaded last point...

A tribute to a very special Cardigan

Aust CH Llandwyn Show N Tell
May 6, 1994 - June 26, 2009

Dorothy Hartcher of Llandwyn emailed me this week and told me of the passing of this grand lady, Yoda, Aust CH Llandwyn Show N Tell. Yoda was a very special girl with an incredible show career, many Champion offspring, and most important a devoted companion. She is a granddaughter of dear Buzz, Aust Grand CH Llandwyn Aces High. Yoda was one of the special Cardigans that I got to spend time with when I lived in Australia. She was a great example of our breed. I was honored to import one of her sons, Am Ch Llandwyn Just Joey, who will carry on the legacy of these lines here in the USA. Rest in peace dear Yoda.

Chai's win photo from Bandon

Chai, aka Pawcific Pumpkin Spice Latte. Doesn't he look gorgeous?! He is 9 months old in this photo, at his first show, winning his first major! His proud parents are Brayden, AM CH Winpara Dragonfire RN, CGC (Imp Aust) and Roo, AM CH Pawcific Hundred Aker Wood CGC. I am very proud of my first second generation Pawcific bred BC!

Grandpup news and brags...

Carol and Jasper showed at the Puyallup cluster the first of June in Rally. They not only won the class with a score of 99, but it was also the last leg towards Jasper's RN title. So, he is now, CH Pawcific Unimaginable You RN!
Also...other grandpup news...Vogue, CH Pawcific Strike A Pose, won a Group 3 in Redmond, OR this past weekend! Way to go Vogue! With all fingers crossed, she will be bred to Splash this fall.
