Checkers

The Splash/Alice puppies are now 7 weeks old. You can go to my website and see updated pictures. I thought I would make special recognition here to "Checkers" the black girl in Alice's litter that has such odd markings. Remember this girl...

And look at how she has developed...

I think she is a beautiful girl, although I can't keep them all, so sadly she is available. She is one of my favorite though in the litter!

Alice's puppies...

Alice's puppies enjoying their first meal! Yup, all raw chicken. They loved it!!

And speaking of feeding...I keep meaning to send to the blog the recipe for our milk mix. This is what we give out nursing mothers to help aid in milk production and give them extra boosts of calcium. As nursing mothers their diet consists of more organ meats, cottage cheese, yogurt, egg, with raw meaty bones and variety of ground meat like usual. Here is the milk mix...

1 cup goat's milk
1-2 tsp honey
1-2 tsp flax oil
1 junket tablet
1 egg (no shell)

Heat up milk for 1 minute in microwave. Immediately add junket tablet to dissolve. Add rest of ingredients. When it cools down a bit, stir it all up and serve.

For those newbie raw feeders...hope this helps!
